According to the band's official site and Myspace:
Due to a very material contractual breach and violation by the local promoter, it is not justifiable to perform the St. Petersburg show today. The band has tried everything to make the show happen, but with no luck! We feel terribly sorry for the fans, but the situation left us no other option.
This is the ONLY official information out there right now. The band could not make these kinds of allegations against someone publicly if it weren't true. Everything else right now is speculation.
We are so sorry for the Russian fans, and for the band, for this crushing disappointment <3
Nylon Magazine has put up the video of their shoot and interview with Tom and Bill! You can check it out here, and please try to remember to leave a comment thanking them or letting them know what you think, and rate it! :)
According to Tokio Hotel's own official site, this concert has been cancelled. This is due to some issues with the local booking agent and the venue. However, according to TH Croatia, the date will be moved, as there will be a new booking agent working for them. We will update with more details as they come!
We feel for all of the disappointed fans in Croatia, and hope that this works out so that you will all get the chance you were looking forward to, to see the band live <3
